1. Is the CaneAssist really free?
Yes. If you encounter a representative when out and about, they will probably ask you if you would like one installed on your cane or staff.
If you see them first, just say, Howdy!, ask if you can get a CaneAssit accessory. They will provide and install one on the spot!
2. How can you afford to give them away?
It just seems like a nice thing to do. The intent is to spread a little kindness in such a way that helps folks at the same time.
3. Where did this idea come from?
From frustration of dealing with a cane falling over every time it was parked, trying to find a good way to manage the cane when sitting in a restaurant, a table, in a waiting room, or needing a handy way to hold a cane when a free hand is needed. I suppose the idea was born out of necessity and it needed to be shared.
4. What else can the CaneAssist be used for?
The only limit is your imagination. We use these to secure items to walkers, hold flashlights, camping, securing items to clothing or backpacks, phone stands, etc. What sort of ideas can you find for it?
5. Is red the only color CaneAssist comes in?
Yes, for now. We chose red becase it gets attention, makes the cane easy to spot after setting it down, make it easier for a passerby to see it and not trip over it, etc. There's a method to our madness, as they say.
6. How long can I expect my CaneAssist accessory to last?
We can't provide an accurate answer to that because we don't really know! The first one installed has been in use for two years and still good as new. For now we can definitively say a looooooog time!
7. Where can get more than one CaneAssist accessory?
Absolutely! Simply go to the Order Now section in the main menu and we'll get as many as you want in the mail to you right away and you still only pay shipping and handling.
